The sad part is how many moms like this exist - hating on teenage girls their sons talk to as if they were never teenage girls. I know lots of mothers-in-law who were treated terribly by their mothers-in-law and now they're doing the same thing to their daughters-in-law

God this was my mom. Me and my sister had the strictest/sternest rules and he got away with murder. We could literally lay out his crimes with evidence, witness testimony, FORENSICS and she'd STILL not discipline him. He became a monster later and she "just could not understand" all his shitty spoiled/ unstable behavior or why he didnt know how to clean his apartment or do his laundry.

At least Dad wasnt really on board with that and would be "lax" with her rules (that only applied to us) behind her back but her blatant favortism really did a number on our self-esteem.
