The effects of abuse lingers long after the 'relationship' ends. Sometimes the after effect is worse because its mental/psychological...makes you feel paranoid and crazy all the time. Her suing him is her attempt to get her control back so that she feels safe in herself again! I'm proud of her taking a stand!
