Man hearing Chris say that he wanted to be just like his dad makes the scene all the more sad and emotional when you realize that Julius later dies. It makes sense why Chris Rock ended the show before it got to that point. Talking about his father’s death would be too much for him. And the show just wouldn’t be the same without Julius.

Although it is a comedy show, Julius was a good father to Chris as he taught him so many valuable life lessons. Julius dying if we saw it happen on the show would have probably been one of the saddest moments in television history.
