Easily the best sonic frontiers videos to come out of IGN so far, and the reporter surprisingly did an excellent job. He sounded like an actual guy just giving his thoughts for a game franchise he likes, rather than a game critic that doesn't care at all.

“There’s no wisps” is easily the best marketing strategy sega couldve used for this game. Bless ign

We definitely need a demo. I'd like to try my hands with this as it looks really fun.

Momentum and rolling physics seem like something that us hardcore fans really care about, but the general public just wants to run around and don't think much beyond that. Glad to hear Sonic feels fine to control regardless. Hopefully rolling down hills to gain speed is part of the conversation for the next game, especially if they stick with the open-zone format.

Thanks for answering these questions and showing the footage. Not a fan of the overall marketing through the month but now we've seen quite a lot of it. It's definitely gonna be an interesting game. I'm optimistic and looking forward to it.

Us: “Did you get rid of Wisp?”
Sega: “yes”
Us: “what did it cost you?”
Sega: “Spin dash…”

BLUE BOOST!! Yes!! So they didn't just remove it! And you can upgrade Sonics speed and stuff! This game is looking really promising so far! I'm really looking forward to it!

The 400 ring boost that surrounds him in an aura sounds like Sonic’s version of kaioken 😂

Sounds like Sonic's take on BotW with the cyberspace being similar to the shrines. We've barely seen much so I'm hoping they've still got a lot in store and hopefully they're all polished once it releases.

My main question is is it 28 different themes for the 28 cyberspace levels, or is it only 7 zones like Colors, Lost World, and Forces split up into 4? I’m almost certain probably the latter which would be a shame.

From the sounds of it, the fourth Cyber Space level seems to have been based on Sky Sanctuary, the level from Sonic 3 & Knuckles that also popped up in Sonic Generations.

8:35 400 RINGS = ULTIMATE BOOST?! OH, I'M AM TRUSTING YOU FOR THIS.

I'd like to know how the gameplay styles differ. If action feels like adventure and speed feels like boost, and what the cyberspace levels are most similar to, boost, adventure, or in between

This was actually very informative. Thank you!

Let’s see if it’s dash like a maniac level design or actually fun 🤩

It's so refreshing to hear him talk without a script

Sonic casually running in green hill, and then trouble arrives. Ok that makes sense.
Chemical plant? SOMEONE BLOW UP THAT DAMN PLACE!
