People will say well it was normal to be married young and yeah, but they married another young person lol. And the biggest problem is that the Quran says Muhammad is the best example for mankind. He’s supposed to live above societal norms, not within them. I have a 9 year old son and see the girls in his class. Only a sick man would get aroused by a girl that young. Most Muslims are better examples than he is. And to say she was ready, there’s a Hadith that she was still playing with dolls which means she hadn’t hit puberty yet. In Islam, you can play with dolls until you have your period and then you’re bound to follow the rules of having no images and since the doll was an image, she would have had to stop playing with the doll. It’s gross man. Most Muslims have no idea about this or here some bs explanation to keep them trapped

That’s a crock! The Quran to this day teaches this practice.
There is something called an iddah which is the waiting period after marriage to make sure the female isn’t pregnant.
If consummation doesn’t happen then no iddah is required.
This is the Quran verse that talks about this part.

Al-Ahzab 33:49

O You who have believed, when you marry believing women and then divorce them before you have touched them, then there is not for you any waiting period to count concerning them. So provide for them and give them a gracious release.

Now the three categories for females who fall under the iddah, pay attention to the 2nd one mentioned and mind you their own scholars agree that this says what it does. Go read the tafsir on this.

At-Talaq 65:4

And those who no longer expect menstruation among your women - if you doubt, then their period is three months, and [also for] those who have not menstruated. And for those who are pregnant, their term is until they give birth. And whoever fears Allah - He will make for him of his matter ease.
