My mother played this song as she got married in our castle in Italy in 2008. My grandmother played this song when my great Grandmother unfortunately passed. My uncle who passed a few years ago, requested that this song was playing while I was with him, in his arms sobbing at the fact this might be the last time I see him. Unfortunately it was. This song means something really special to me as it was a song that my family had loved. My cousin (my uncle’s daughter) recently got married and asked if I could play this song on my inherited piano that was passed down many generations. And I did as it was an another request made by my uncle. In fact my whole family, and let me tell you this. It really was special.

For some reason to me, this sounds like Im on a sinking ship, stranded in the middle of some random ocean. No chance of help, nothing but the last few minutes or so before the ship goes completely under the horizon, panicked with nothing but my own thoughts. Then off in the distance I hear this sound, as if the piano player on the ship is sending everyone away peacefully, making everyone feel at ease and that they're going to be okay. As the water rises he keeps playing, till his feet are submerssed, then his legs, then his stomach and he keeps playing all the way until the water completely coveres him. Then the music stops.. and I am left with nothing but the vast openness of the ocean until it takes me with it.

When I meditate to this, I start to feel like I'm slipping, kinda like when you're asleep and dream of falling? I catch myself slipping and my body subconsciously tenses a little bit. But it feels like if I were to let myself fall, I could fall through the floor, phase through this entire dimension, and shift my cells into another world.
