I got one of the first Mr. Beer kits back in 1990. The fermenter has an airlock instead of whatever they use now. First batch wasn't bad. Have 2 gallons of Brown Ale doing its thing right now. I like to use yeast muscled up from a starter. Happy brewing!

When you're dumping your growler of water into the keg, give it a little swirl...it'll empty in like half the time and avoid all the gurgling lol. I can't wait to get my Mr. Beer kit!

I bought this kit from amazon: Mr. Beer Starter Edition Homebrewing Craft Making Kit with All Grain Extract Beer Refill and Convenient 2 Gallon Fermenter Classic American Light but after following every direction mine turned out flat. Why did this happen and how can I prevent it on my next Mr. Beer kit? It had a good taste but carbonation would of made it much better, not giving up though.

This was one of the worst kits I've ever bought. I ended up choosing another because their keg kept coming with a hole in it or severe leaks. Never buy this.
