We know he lied, but his supporters are only going to remember that he said lowering inflation was never guaranteed, that it’s hard to bring things down once they’re up and soon, if they are not already, will be saying that they must have misunderstood, but that’s ok because high inflation is actually a good thing, since the more they suffer, the more they show their support.
