I bought the dry blade container when it came out years ago. Still use it regularly for grains, but being Texan, we like our Southern cornbread. The dry container, unlike the other two mills I own, allows me to closely monitor the process so that I don't end up with corn flour.

Hi Rodrigod75,
We highly recommend using the dry container for grinding up whole grains as the blades are designed for this.
I hope this helps!

Which serie is the vitamix are you using?
There are so many for example
Vitamix Experian E310
Vitamix ascent serie 2300
Vitamix serie 750
Vitamix ascent serie 3500
Etc etc etc
You can put in all of them the dry and wet container.

If I can grind coffee beans in my Vitamix, why can't I grind regular dent corn, instead of popcorn. I have 50 lb of organic corn in my basement and I want to use it.

The blendtec doesn't need a separate container for grinding grains to make flower. Strange that vitamix makes you buy another $200 container for flour!
