Intro by Evan S.

Episode Notes:

1. Captured on real hardware.

2. Mitchell also worked on the Buster Bros. games with Capcom.

3. This is available on modern platforms as well, but you won't get the exclusive content of the console conversions.

4. The boxed 4MB RAM cart version does not have a back insert for the jewel case. A practice Capcom did often.

5. No, I do not think SFIII looks bad. That animation was beautiful. I did prefer the art style here, however.

6. This was also on the GBA, but that conversion sees a ton of downgrades.

I have this on my modified Saturn, and it is absolutely amazing. I remember the game magazines criticizing the Saturn version, that the super shadows "didn't look right" nothing new back in those days. While i do like the PS1 version, the Sega Saturn showed its superiority yet again.

Had it for the PSX, then the Dreamcast. This was the most complete SF. Every classic character and play style. Still play it to this day along side Third Strike and Ultra IV.

I recently started playing Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter in my Saturn after a long time, and always feels impressed about the 2D capabilities and arcade fidelity of the Saturn. Great video ❤

Those Capcom fighters on the Saturn were head and shoulders above their competition!

Watching your videos inspired me to finally take the plunge on a Saturn after years of tempered curiosity.

I used my cash-back funds on my credit card to buy this game and i have to say that its absolutely incredible and the dramatic battle is one of the coolest things a fighting game has ever done.

X-ISM makes grabbing a little easier because it extends the range of common throws by 4 pixels.
V-ISM adds 1 frame to the cancellable window of cancellable moves. This make you able to cancel them a little later, allowing combos when the move hits the opponent in the air, for example.

*Fantastic review sir! This game is truly amazing! It’s arcade perfect & more! I think 3rd Strike is really good but this is my favorite & best of the series! It’s fun & exciting all the time! It’s a piece of art!! It was approved by a Mathematical Center or University in Amsterdam Holland as it sez on da jewel box for the complex & clever calculations did by the clever programmers that made this amazing wonderful game! It’s worth every penny & owning a SATURN alone.* ⭐️ 💡 ⭐️ 💡 ⭐️

Street Fighter 6' single player mode IS the Street Fighter RPG with ideas taken from World Tour... it's even called World Tour!

Alpha 3 is by far my favorite SF game of all time (well, it switches between Alpha 2 and 3 depending on the day). I think it's an incredibly classy and sophisticated product.

Zero 3 and Vampire Savior are my picks for the best two fighting games on the Saturn
Capcom was just killing it between '93-'00 no one could touch them

I ended up buying the PS1, DC, and Saturn versions all new from Japan back when they released. I almost passed on the Saturn version because it was so late. I've been glad I did get it since release day. I keep seeing it climb high in price for retro collectors, but I'll never part with mine.

Your excitement was very well conveyed through your narration and script! 👏🏼👏🏼

This game is 10x better than SF4-5-6. It's crazy. So much more action, speed, more dynamic. Now the characters are way too big (screen is zoomed in) and the game is slow and with many pauses, and the skills are not about fighting anymore but about comboing (juggle fest).

Pinnacle of graphics and gameplay in the entire 32-bit era (Ps1/Saturn/N64). No game has aged as well visually and also having elite gameplay.

I have played every version of this Game PSone, PSP, PS2, 360, Saturn, DC. And the very best true to Arcade is the DC version. Yes! The PSP is the most complete with options and features and characters but the Saturn version is the one that truly gives the Arcade Feel. Amazing Game!

I still can't get over how good the opening jingle is.

I don't play fighting games much, but back in the late 90s/early 2000s when SFZ3/SFA3, MvC2, and a few others came out, you'd have thought that's all I was into. Loved those games.

I didn't play a lot of Alpha 3 but dang this game was packed full of features and different game modes. Sounds like a solid classic for people who are hardcore into the genre.
