Street Fighter Zero 3 playthrough (SEGA Saturn) (1CC)

60fps available!

Playthrough with Gouki. The SEGA Saturn port of this game was only released in Japan, which is a shame as it is a really great conversion. The only drawbacks with this version are that the character speech isn't as clear as some of the other versions and there is a little bit of slowdown when Vega uses his ultimate psyco crusher super combo.

This version requires a 4-meg RAM cartridge to run.

FANTASTIC port, really shows how good the Sega Saturn was with emulating the arcades and 2D hardware.

I look to this game and the big potential 2D games had in the 32-bit generation and I feel ashamed how things turned out. I know most of the memorable games of that generation were 3D but I think we lost a handful of classics to the 2D / 3D transition.

Also of note, this game is incredibly expensive, and for it's time, the absolute top of the mountain best version of this game (it beat the crap out of even the Dreamcast version). It wouldn't get topped till Alpha Anthology on PS2, mainly SF Alpha 3 Upper on that collection, which has this games entire roster, and is only missing Reverse Dramatic Battle Mode and World Tour (I don't care for the latter option, though I do have Alpha 3 Max on PSP and Alpha 3 PS1 on PS3, via PSN, if I want those options).

As tempting as it is the hefty price tag would mean this cost than what I paid altogether for my Saturn and the seven Capcom fighting games I had for it. Shame.

the saturn was so powerful with 2d graphics that capcom said that a port of SF 3 was possible with the ram card, the thing is that this port never happened due to the dreamcast coming at the time, so with this we got an idea of how powerful the sega saturn was

I don't see how this version is considered "the best". Not gonna lie, it is quite impressive for its time, and holds up really well on its own against the other versions (I would definitely choose this over the loading-bloated PS1 version lol), but not only does the game feel a bit cramped, the voice samples ain't as clear as in other versions. The inclusion of exclusive modes like Reverse Dramatic Battle are interesting and all, but the PSP version has all that and even more. World Tour, online multiplayer, the Upper and Upper GBA characters and Ingrid, apart from being portable, loading faster, looking better and sounding better. Why go back to this? Before you hardcore fans go ahead and say stuff like "This is the best version cuz it has all the animations and proper hitboxes and bla bla bla", I'm saying this from a casual side of things. Do you really think anyone normal that is just playing the game will notice these REALLY tiny things you guys are crying your ass about? That's why I hate these so called "hardcore" fans.

Contrary to what most people believe, Saturn port is bad
The game is flawed: V-ism gauge fills way slower than on arcade/ps1/dreamcast, it's enough to make the game useless
