Welcome to the return of the 'History Of Street Fighter' Series on the channel, Its been a very long time since I had the chance to cover this prestigious series and alot has changed with the channel since then!

With that said, today I wanted to give the 'History Of Ryu' a reboot of sorts, and give it the time, care and due diligence It so rightly deserves with this icon In the fighting game genre.

And with street fight 6 a mere 4 months awful, It felt only right to not just redo these older episode, but to go In more depth as to why he Is some incredible important to gaming as awhole.

I love his new look in street fighter 6 it pretty much so how calm Ryu is and how far he's come

I like to think Ryu’s Red ragged Sash in SF6 is Oro’s sash,
similar to how Ken gave Ryu his headband, the Idea of Ryu’s “Final Form” design being a collage of everyone who significantly helped him grow as a fighter throughout the years is awesome.

I always thought Ryu was boring and generic character, but he has depth in his character, and I like his story about finding the meaning of martial arts & knowing more about myself. Thank you for this updated video, HBTW. It's really refreshing. You should ken or Sakura next week's video.

I really hope in SF 6 they add even more story to Ryu. Like him officially becoming Sakura's teacher. That would be dope. And explore more of his new found rivalry with Akuma which it seems Capcom has even flushed out a bit more of his character in SF 5

Can I just say that your breakdowns and analysis of each character regardless if it was Tekken, Street Fighter, or Mortal Kombat are all brilliant? It's almost as if you know the historical significance of each character and it's awesome. Most other breakdown channels would probably miss key points for a character and other stuff, but you pretty much hit everyone of the key points for characters and as I said it's absolutely brilliant. Can't wait to see a remastered breakdown of Akuma.
