11-year-old North Korean YouTuber used to spread propaganda

An 11-year-old girl appears to be being used as a puppet by the North Korean government to spread propaganda to children.

On her YouTube channel, Im Song-a, 11, boasts her love for the Harry Potter books along with sharing footage from days out in Pyongyang.

“Everything is under control as it used to be and everyone is just fine,” the westernised child says amid reports suggesting North Korea is covering up accurate Covid-19 statistics.

The girl’s broad English accent is thought to have been formed when she lived in London with her mother and diplomat father, Im Jun-hyok, who served in Pyongyang’s UK embassy.

What we do learn from Song-a's channel, in contrast to popular belief, is that some North Koreans study in western countries from a young age, as did Kim Jong-un. A friend of mine in the Germany went to uni with a North Korean girl doing a Master's degree in Nuclear Physics

This is entirely propaganda. I watched the children's hospital And she kept making a point about the " cartoon pictures on the And "my heart was pumping with the desire to go to the children's hospital, just to look at the cartoon pictures on the wall." Kid said she has a corn on her toe and could have gone to a clinic by her home, but wanted to go to hospital instead. Bizarre....

This little girl went to pre-school with my child in Ealing London back in 2016. Her parents were diplomats at the embassy in Ealing. Funny enough her and her parents are very sweet people. I had no idea her real background until I saw her all over the news. Interestingly I can recall more North Korean kids came to my child’s pre-school.
