VISITING 3 INSANE GERMAN CASTLES
Показать описание
Today we drove into Germany where we adventured through the country and found and visited 3 insane German castles!
The rich history and beautiful castles really made this day special. Really would like to go back and explore more of these castles!
1st castle visited: Reichsburg in Cochem
2nd castle visited: Burg Eltz near Koblenz
privately owned by the same family who are called Von Eltz for almost 1000 years.
3rd Castles Visited: Above the Eifel Village near the town of Monrea there were two castles. The ruins of Löwenburg and Philippsburg.
UPDATED DETAILS: There were a few points i made in this video that i've learned are not quite true. Let me clarify!
I said that the second castle we visited, Burg Eltz was 500 years old when in fact it is nearly 1,000 years old! Amazing!
I also said that there weren't very many castles left... in comparison to 300 years ago, this is true. However, Germany is the country with the most and oldest castles in the world! There are quite a few left, approximately 25,000 in fact!
Another things that i mentioned was that during WWII many castles were bombed. This took place mostly only in big cities but for the most part this was not the main reason so many castles were destroyed. It was many wars before the 20th century! Btw, Geneva is a city in Switerzland. It's French-speaking, but not located in France!
Here's the gear that i brought on my Europe Trip!
More videos soon to come so consider subscribing to the channel, i'd love to have you apart of the community! :) If you're still reading, comment something nice below and have an awesome day!
