I finally got my full freedom not until my mid 50's; I was stuck caring for my parents for many many years of my life. I am working now, making enough money for myself in order for me to enjoy my life way more than what I went through year after year after year; Having to sit on my rump and watch the boob tube seeing how everyone was getting a little enjoyment for themselves while I was stuck home, due to lack of funds, or other obligations.

Jordan, did very well, up to 5:30, then he blew it all by posing the question: How do you overcome the suffering of life?
Is be a better person. When you use God's Word and psychology, you then have a mixture. The positive part
yes, you can have a successful life on earth, which is good. BUT it won't eliminate your suffering, though it may be
masked. The negative part is, that the positive part is very temporary, in that we'll all suffer as we approach life's
end on earth, then the mask will come off. What now??? Well, the mixture, blinded you into thinking you could
wrest a painless, successful life by being a better person, which get's you nowhere in God's eyes period. The real
answer is "Christ" for your new and perfect purposeful beginning. Now all will be positive, even the suffering,
will be easy to accept, ask Stephen Acts 7:57 smiling when being stoned, Also read James1: 2-4 count it all joy.
That's all I have to say about that. "Forrest"

If you want to have a yardstick to determine those things that are stupid, if you want to stop suffering then study the Buddha's Dharma. You can do it at any age. It's all about being a better person, without the gobbledegook.

Even some of the most brilliant “minds” that have ever lived are destined for Hell.
The suppression of the truth, even though God’s divine nature and eternal power is clear for all to see is the problem.
Until a person repents(God is rich in mercy) and is drawn by God, and drawn into the light from the darkness, he will forever be a slave to sin.
Reach out Jordan and put your trust in the one mediator between God and Man-Jesus Christ.

These thoughts are "low hanging fruit." He sounds like a cross between an arm chair philosopher and Joel Osteen or any self-help book from the last half century. His giddy enthusiasm for "The Power of Positive Thinking, " will power, prayer and believing God is on your side, pales next to the reality an individual might otherwise find themselves. It's comparable to having a bucket-list of platitudes and bromides the individual might keep in a Rolodex or on cell phone app. Jordan Peterson isn't saying anything that corporate America, publishing houses and TV evangelists haven't already capitalized on. If he weren't so derivative of so much will-power-drivel already out there, we'd be more inclined to be impressed. Joel Osteen does this kind of pep-talk on a weekly basis, and, frankly, it's over-kill. I mean how much pleading with and cajoling people to be good, to pray and to get God on their side have to be done, before the whole thing begins to look and sound like a sales pitch for another book? The thing with trying to be good is that it comes and goes ... much like bestselling self-help books. A veritable cottage industry given over to the ups and downs of life. With what's going on in Ukraine, taking up our attention, the power of Americans thinking positively is certainly put to the test. And what we are learning is that bravery and courage are not had cheaply, much less with the aid of a self-help book or YouTube video clip. What Jordan Peterson gets absolutely right is that doing the right thing is "hard" and "everything matters, " especially when everything is at stake. And, right now, united with our allies, as never before, we are doing the right thing, because Western values matter, Ukraine and its people matter, recognizing evil matters ... it all matters. And, as Jordan Peterson says, "You have to carry that with you." And together, we carry it as a nation. Sometimes it takes more than The Power of Positive Thinking" to grab our attention to do the right thing. Russia invading Ukraine did that. And Zelenskyy's heroic example of doing the right thing and carrying the responsibilities matters to his people, our country, each of us, and our values ... it all matters.

Looks like Jordan Peterson can't seem to follow his own advice for a week, let alone a month
