Growing bowl lotus from seeds without mud or dirt

In this experiment, I tried to grow #lotus in gravels, aqua soil or just rocks. The result is less than stellar but at least I learned a few things.

I was able to germinate these outside last summer in a large pot I used for a mini pond. Inside, the snails in my aquariums ate the seeds before they could germinate.
