Terrible, a heroin addiction looks a lot different than a nicotine whether it’s lower or not

As a former heroin addict for over 20 years now clean for 10 years but the very first time I used HEROIN I USED EVERY DAY AFTER AND NEVER STOPPED TILL MY ROCK BOTTOM!

As a former addict with twelve years of sobriety, I'm here to say, false. This video is dangerous and moronic. To make the false equivalency and try to conflate "addictiveness" equals "safety" to justify a position is bananas. Don't do dope kids.

No I 100% believe that. I've used black, I've used fent. Two and a half years clean. I am still heavily using nicotine and the crazy thing about that is heroin and opioids feel great, nicotine literally has no euphoric effects years into the addiction.

No. I was addicted to opiods and it was the worst thing that ever happened to me. Don't try it run far far away.

Don’t take heroin 30% addiction rate is still a grim statistic.

I know plenty of people thats used heroin and never got addicted. Most people that become addicted they always have underlying mental health issues

30%? That’s not bad, I’m gonna give it a try

A 45% chance to get addicted to cigarettes is better than a 30% chance to get addicted to heroin IMO…

Are we seriously comparing tobacco to heroin? Are we really going to compare tobacco addiction to heroin addiction? What's the argument here?

Yea right.. I got addicted to heroin at 14 and spent 15 years hooked. I quit smoking 2x for over a year before I ever managed to quit heroin.

He was asked a question and answered it accurately. Just because you don't like to hear that heroin isn't going to make everyone addicted from one use or that nicotine is more addictive from one use doesn't mean it's not true. It also doesn't mean that it's not very risky to use heroin (even without considering the risk of fent), that anyone who isn't terminally ill/old should use it, or that VICE is promoting using it.

Never seen someone homeless because of a nicotine addiction.

Mental addiction and physical addiction can’t be compared.

This is misinformation. First time I tried any opiate I was addicted after the first use. It’s different for everybody. First time I took an oxy I literally remember planning on buying more telling myself “this is what I been looking for” “I’m gonna get more and I’m gonna be an addict” the feeling is extremely euphoric for people who need to calm down, chill out, and forget about everything. Anybody who needs that feeling in their life will become addicted after the first use. Unless they just don’t have money to get more.
