How Hard Is The CPA Exam? (EXPERT GUIDE). In this video, John covers a common question students often ask - Is the CPA exam really that hard or how difficult is the CPA exam? He talks a little bit about how the CPA exam is structured, what makes the CPA exam difficult and pass rates for each section of the CPA exam, including the AUD, BEC, FAR and REG. Overall, John thinks the most difficult part about the CPA exam is the question types, time limitations and sheer amount of material covered over the four different sections. The FAR section of the CPA exam is most difficult. Pass rates seem to hover between 45% to 50% for this section.
