Disclaimer: I filmed this video when I passed, before I started this channel, so apologies for the audio in advance.

My goal was to do the least possible and get the goal result of passing. We're all busy with school or work while trying to pass for the CPA so these are my tips that worked. I refined my study plan after each section I took and passed. In this video, I'll be sharing my tips and strategies for passing the CPA exam on the first try, in the most efficient way. I know firsthand how stressful and overwhelming the CPA exam can be, but with the right approach, it's definitely doable.

Some extra reminders:
- It's important to set aside dedicated study time and stick to a schedule.
- Consistency is key when it comes to preparing for the CPA exam.
- Active recall. When you're supposed to memorize, MEMORIZE.
- Take care of yourself. Make sure to get enough sleep, eat well, and take breaks to de-stress. It's important to have a healthy balance between studying and self care.

I love how you said you were just trying to pass. That was my motto too 😂 I passed FAR and AUD with 75. A pass is a pass! I’m so glad I’m finally done. Congratulations!

here i am giving a suggestion about continuing education for your cpe requirement after becoming a CPA. Finding my-cpe was like hitting the jackpot for my professional development. The courses are so well-priced and filled with the latest content. It's reassuring to know I'm learning from the best without overspending.

5:30. I realized this as well. When I studied for BEC I was doing the simulations after every module and was frustrated because I felt some of the material wasn't even in the module. I started just skipping to the next module and then doing the simulation of the previous module. It helped me get more efficient. I also started just focusing more on the book. Managed to pass with an 85 on the first try.

Passing the CPA exams is when you study hard, if you can't study or you don't have time for your studies I'd advise you get yourself a help like Mr Willard.

Thank you so much for explaining your experience with feeling defeated by the first few modules and how comprehensive they are (in Becker). I just started on M1, first set and was so disheartened because it made me feel like I needed to go back and retake ALL of financial accounting. This give me hope that if I just continue on, it'll start to come together. I really appreciate this!!

Video summary/my notes:

🗒️ passed first try, worked full time. All friends passed first time.
⭐️ figure out what sections you want to take in order.
⭐️ 1. Audit 2. Reg 3. FAR 4. BEC
⭐️ BEC is easiest.
⭐️ audit is second to last esisest.
⭐️ Far is hardest then Reg. Reg has taxes.
⭐️ used Becker as well as all her friends. They all loved it. Study the modules and the practice questions.
⭐️ studied for 3 weeks before each test. MCQs and the simulations. The weekend before the mock exams.
⭐️ do lecture, then MCQs, skip simulation, do this for every module, at the very end, go back and do all the simulations as a review for the mock exam.

Hiee... hope you are doing great!
Please recommend if we should make notes with the lectures or just listen and understand while Becker lecture is going on?

Hey I just took a bec exam, how did you feel after taking yours at the moment? like did you think you were going to pass for sure or did you think you failed? Really curious since a lot of videos have been telling me that their actual score was better than they expected it to be and heard that bec exam is getting tougher right now since it's going to be different starting 2024, also congrats!!!!

I will be enrolling in CPA PEP soon and starting my Core 1. Problem is I took most of my accounting courses (including Tax/audit/Intermediate Financial Accounting) almost 10 years ago, so, my memory of all those material is pretty much zero, so, do you think there will be a problem taking the CORE 1? Will Core 1 provide sufficient studying material so that If I study hard I will be okay? My biggest concern is they may assume you know a certain material so they will skip going through stuff taught in the PREP courses. Thank you!
