It's finally here; the first installment in an updated Eidolon Guide of 2022, after Echoes of Zariman. I've waited to cover Eidolons due to the frequent updates resulting in a constantly changing meta ever since the Angels update dropped. Truth in hindsight, we have seen new amp metas come also go as a result of the Echoes update. The ever-popular 577 amp that rose to prominence over a month ago has now been buried again and no longer has a use. In an ironic twist of fate, the new meta is now the old meta, but for different reasons.

Prisms are no longer important in Eidolon hunting, though I would recommend trying the Raplak (1), Cantic (5), or Klamora (7) Prisms per your personal preference. Eternal Onslaught has arrived, the replacement to Virtuous Shadow that pushes all relevant amps above 100% crit chance, most notably Propa. A crit propa obliterates shields. A guaranteed crit propa means you will always obliterate shields. Which means we no longer need a backup prism. New utility and operator tech has also come out of this update, with numerous ways to activate all the buffs required to one or two-shot Hydrolyst shields without Void Strike. Yes, you heard right. WITHOUT Void Strike.

If you never hunted before and are considering finally dipping your toes in, now is the time. Get ready, because you're in for a wild ride. Solo runs are easier than ever, squad runs are once again smooth since you no longer need Void Strike at all if you play well enough, and anyone can reach Solo 5x3 now with just a little bit of practice. This is the easiest hunting has ever been. Will you be the next Solo 6x3 hunter?

There seems to be a small buffer for Eternal Onslaught where you get the crit chance even if your energy isn't literally zero, because I've had moments of testing in sim where, close to zero, it's possible to have the timer stay at 8 seconds for an extended period while in void mode. Since void mode ends the instant you're completely dry, it seems "empty" has built in QoL to not be 100% completely empty.

Thanks for this complete guide, I had done a solo Trido just dicking around after I managed to get r5 Eternal Eradicate, but didn't have the rest of the build synergy there. Even with me completely just messing about, I still completed the tricap in like 3 or 4 minutes lol. I had more trouble finding voms to charge the lures than anything in the actual fight. Now that I know that the old amp crit arcanes are basically trash, my hunts will be way faster. Thanks for the info dude!

with these arcanes even a newer tenno could now do a 2x3 with no sweat. which would make getting that sweet arcane energize and co so much more obtainable for everyone. provided more people take up hunting casually at the very least.

I will need to rewatch this a couple more times to wrap my head around it. Maybe it's stemming from me having absolutely next to no knowledge on how to do Tridolons, but being able to do it on your own will feel much easier rather than looking for groups. That being said, prospect of doing 6x3 on your own and this pretty much requiring majority of Madurai tree to be unlocked (considering I have Amps, just gotta work on Arcanes) and certain weapons is cool.

Eternal eradicate is just really good in general. Not as if it matters, but a 177 with just eternal will in my experience 1 shot 150 thrax. Easy to grind, easy to use. Really loving what they've done with the operator changes.
