Did you say you want modern castles? Here's an idea for a fully functional modern day castle. A German style concrete flak tower (WWII era) as a keep. Some motte and bailey with ballistic protection features with concrete apartment wings. Finally a mini city with commercial and residential zones surrounding the castle. You got yourself a tiny modern fiefdom or manor system that makes your lord of the land. LOL
