GAME OVER?! -A.I. 'Noyron' Builds REAL Rocket Engine

preview_player
Показать описание
UAE-based LEAP71 tested a 5 kN Kerolox rocket engine thruster generated through Noyron RP, its Large Computational Engineering Model. This engine was designed without the use of CAD software, generated completely autonomously, and outputted on PicoGK, LEAP71’s open-source geometry kernel. It was then 3D printed in copper by AMCM.

Biological looking space ships, here we go!

I'm just letting you know, in the comments, that I'm not even sure you're sentient

I like how the outer aesthetic design looks like sci fi alien tech

Plot Twist the Students build it themselves
their ai took credit of it in the press conference

The "The model is not sentient " clarification was hilarious.

"The AI isn't sentient"
That's what every secretly sentient AI would say.

That thing is a work of art! Thank you Skynet for entertaining us before you destroy us.

I work at this university. They have come up with many great inventions and adaptions in many fields.

Yes, I worked with this tech in the development team at an engineering software company. You simply specify the input variables and the outputs you want to track. The model is parameterized so the optimization engine can generate many versions and then they are tested in a CFD solver to see how the results are affected by the inputs. There are many algorithms that can search the design space for the best design and it can even be adaptive and try more designs close to the previous optimum to see if it can find an even better design. What has been added here is a follow up step where a 3D printer (printing in copper) is used to produce an actual engine based on the optimized 3D model. It isn't quite an "automated" design and build process, but it is 3D printing of an optimized cad Model.

This is the proper use of AI... not to replace engineers but to augment their abilities

Skynet begins to learn at a geometric rate. It becomes self-aware at 2:14 a.m. Eastern time, August 29th.

Wow, a 3D printed rocket engine. That's epic! 👏🏾 👍🏾

I drive a forklift and I can tell you unequivocally, aliens live in my home.

"However the AI isn't sentient" Like that's somehow a negative? Why would you *want* it to be sentient?

The build print for this precise rocket (I know people on the team!) was definitely NOT automated. It took very skilled engineers a lot of time and effort to make it work to the point that the 3D print could even complete without a build failure.

Sounds smart, I never even thought about a.i designing or engineering using the knowledge it has, but it makes sense. Insane to think what it will..create.. Thats next level.

The algorithm brought me here to show me what they have made. Next we will have flying T-1000’s

Indian company agnikul cosmos had already made the 3d printed semi cryo engin and it had taken a flight also .
