About 8 percent of our DNA is made up of viruses known as Endogenous Retroviruses (ERVs). Over millions of years, these viruses have embedded themselves in our genome and now play an integral role in the functioning of our immune system. In this short video, The Atlantic’s science writer Ed Yong explains how the very things that once made us sick now keeps us healthy.

There's no irony in that. It's simple problem solving that our DNA evolves over time, creating things like anti-bodies along the way.
The viruses are the problems and the DNA has a record of the solution it came up with.

the production of this video is the worst thing ever, the background noises and annoying music makes it incredibly difficult to actually listen to what you are saying, it actually makes me want to punch the screen.

What's ironic about this? It's no more ironic than our genes being passed on through germ cells to our offspring.

So, basically, it's an update/patch from our Creator.

DNA is so complex, how can evolution by natural selection explain the formation of first DNA/RNA?
