Great tutorial, I've been using similar method for a while, after getting frustrated with poor results from other systems. I'm not doing fine woodwork, so don't need super sharp results, so my old sandpaper on a sheet of metal, using wd40 as a lubricant was good enough solution 😂. After watching this, I'm going upgrade it all and see how I get on, thanks for the advice!

I hear you say TYRE when it is more "tee-air".
French, such a singing language 😆
If I were to do this as my leaving, laying down, I'd be fired for sleeping on the job... 😅

You likely have this book already but if you don't then I recommend Leonard Lee's The Complete Guide to Sharpening.

I've stayed away from chisels and plains because the sharpening process always seems intimidating. Maybe I'll consider it now.

Very interesting, but I find this type of production exhausting to watch. The archive content is great but It really doesn't need a stock illustration of every few words. Here's a screw pump, a river, some books falling, another waterwheel, a sponge, etc. The video would be just as interesting without. Sometimes less is more.
