SA Recces aren't what they used to be since the 70s and 80s. They lost their reputation probably following the end of apartheid in the 90s. Lacking in experience now compared to the times of the conflicts in Angola and Mozambique where the Recces gained a fearsome reputation around the world.

RECCE is not special forces REECE is a PMC (Private military company). They not part of the official RSA military.
