As a person with severe asthma reduced lung function from infection scare I have never understood why Heat is a necessity and AC is luxury like I cannot breathe well in moderate high heat and humidity

This is why I moved away from a hot climate. I moved to Eureka CA. It's 50F-75F all year long. It's an extreme maritime climate caused by the ocean air being trapped by the mountain range. My house is typically in the 70-75Fs all summer long without any AC.
I have no regrets.

High heat kills. People tend to normalize things that they want to ignore.

Name them after the gas, oil, auto, airline, industry meat, forest and other companies that are causing the climate change that is increasing the severity of heat waves.

I'm getting absolutely sick of people not doing anything to combat climate change. i live in Washington state and i feel like we have a heat wave advisory every week. if you also add in the humidity this state has it gets even worse. today alone we had 76% humidity with 92 degrees Fahrenheit weather.

Just know if it keeps on this path we can't even grow corn or wheat properly along with many other crops so keep up the zero effort people see how well it serves you.

The heat waves should be named WTWP (We the Wasteful People) 1, WTWP 2, WTWP 3, etc. Because We the People are the culprit. Example: the greatest consumers of fuel oil on the planet are ships at sea. But is that going to stop three thousand people at a time from having floating parties on cruise ships?

Like he said, it wouldn't hurt anything, so let's do it. The media can adopt the name being used in the test areas, just do it, we don't need NOAA's permission.

Maaaaybe if we collectively shamed the corporations reaping off global warming, they might change something about this.
