Omg so happy to see you guys again! Thank you so much for the business shout out, so glad you enjoyed the products. I wanted to do a little something to give back to you guys, your videos helped me understand my diagnosis when I felt so lost.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how adorable the puzzle in the intro is?
Thank you

I just realised how much more sense the puzzle ribbon makes for DID awareness, rather than autism awareness.
As an autistic adult, I see the puzzle as ableist in regards to autism, and like most autistic adults, I reject the puzzle ribbon in favour of the rainbow infinity ribbon for autism awareness.
For DID, however, I don't see how the puzzle ribbon could be at all ableist. Frankly, it makes the most sense because you're all separate but one, like the puzzle ribbon.
Petition to make the puzzle ribbon the universal symbol for DID awareness.

Hysteria was removed from the DSM in 1980 and was replaced with various diagnoses that the APS considered components of the original diagnosis. Some of the names of these have changed in the following two DSMs and are currently called:

Dissociative Disorders
Somatic Symptom Disorder
Factitious Disorder Imposed on Oneself
Conversion Disorder (Functional Neurological Disorder)
Histrionic Personality Disorder
Borderline Personality Disorder

Many of these disorders are considered Traumagenic in origin and so it has been retrospectively theorised that Hysteria was an umbrella term for all the symptoms displayed by women who had experienced trauma. The label was often used pejoratively and dismissively by the extremely patriarchal institution that was psychiatry. Interestingly, these component diagnoses remain some of the most highly stigmatised and controversial in modern psychiatry and all disproportionately effect women. Gross, A. (2019) Hysteria Today

I wanted to come back since I noticed I haven't had your videos randomly pop up on here in awhile. Saw your Instagram post too and just, congratulations! I would be lying if I ever said I wouldn't miss the alters and their unique personalities, but I'm extremely happy for you that you've reached your own goal for your mental health. I hope you, your family, and life is and always will be well.

And I just wanted to say, too, that you don't ever have to give up "MultiplicityAndMe" because of final fusion. It is still valid to keep that and even expand on it despite everything because this was your experience if you so choose. It's also valid to just not come back too if you feel your job is done, because it's your life and your choice. No one can fault you either way on this, and I just wanted to reinforce and show support either way on it.

Happy healing!

the fact is is that there’s SO many different opinions on how rare DID actually is. i’ve seen professionals talk about it being more like a fraction of 1% of the entire population like 0.01%. but because of this we don’t actually know what’s right. i choose to believe the figure you gave is correct but it’s still such a debated subject x

I wonder what the brains of people diagnosed with DID would look like once integrated? Whether those prefrontal areas would maintain those biological classifiers, or if they would lessen at all..? Really interesting video, guys! Great to see you on my screen again <3

I was literally thinking about you guys a few days ago! Glad things are still going well.
This video actually reminds me that I suggested this channel and a few others to my intro to psychology professor because she didn't have any videos for DID. (She only had one video that showed the different personalities in "Split" and I was not going to let that stand uncontested.) She was very nice about it, and added the videos and channel links to the course folders along with sending an email about the updated information. This video will be great for the students in her courses as they get introduced to Psychology as a whole, and hopefully correct some misconceptions they might have about it.

i miss your videos so much. i feel like there has been an overwhelming amount of people (teenagers) faking DID on tiktok lately and it seems to me that you’re one of the only authentic people willing to educate and i really appreciate that. its so sad how many teenagers on tiktok are stigmatising the disorder even more.

So glad to see you back and that you're safe! We were diagnosed about two months ago with DID and it's been a lot harder to get things done since it kind of came to the surface. We've been slowly trying to work out routines and opening communication between us. Your videos give all of us comfort. Keep at it and stay safe!

4 and 6 made my brain go: Wth?
I have heard Brain Scans being used to tell the difference between someone with a healthy brain versus one with some sort of mental disorder/illness. It's pretty cool and scary at the same time but it helps understand why the brain is the way it is. It makes sense, if you really think about it.
