SZECHUAN PEPPER BEEF ... (Halal)
INGREDIENTS:
Half red bell pepper.
1 Carrot
5 Garlic cloves
1inch Ginger
2 rib eye beef steak (Medium Size)
1 Tbsp Szechuan peppercorn (Crushed)
Oil 2 to 3 tbsp
Spring onion and sesame seeds or garnishing.
Marinade:
1 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce
2 Tbsp Rice vinegar
1/4 Tsp Sodium Bicarbonate
2 Tbsp Corn flour
1 Egg White
Sauce:
2 Tbsp Light Soy Sauce
1.5 Tsp chili paste
1 Tsp Rice vinegar
1 Tbsp Sugar
Process:
-Thinly slice the red bell pepper and Carrot.
- Chopp the garlic and ginger.
- Thinly slice the beef.
Marinate the beef with light soy sauce, rice vinegar, sodium bicarbonate and corn flour and mix.
-Add egg white and mix.
-In a pan roast the Szechuan pepper corn for few seconds, then grind them in motor.
- For sauce mix all the sauce ingredients in a bowl
- Add oil to smoking hot Wok and stir fry for 5 to 6 min then Pour Out (at 50 - 60% cooked)
- Add more oil in wok
- Add ginger garlic fry then add red pepper and carrot when they become soft add Szechuan pepper, and fried beef and stir fry for a few min.
-Then Add sauce in and toss thorough.
-Garnish with spring onion and sesame seeds.
Szechuan beef is ready...Enjoy:)
