We all LOVE swimming but you should beware, some waters are more dangerous than others ! These are 14 Places YOU SHOULD NEVER EVER swim in !

7. Boiling Lake of Dominica
This appears to be a lake from the devil himself! One of the world’s hottest and most intense lakes out there that you definitely don’t want to swim at, is the boiling lake in the country of Dominica. These aren’t the kind of hot springs you’d find in tourist brochures! It’s filled with a bubbling grey blue water that is normally hidden because of the large clouds of water vapor. This mysterious lake formed from a crack or hole in the earth’s crust which is in the direct vicinity of an active volcano. Temperatures at the edge of the lake are roughly 190 degrees while the center of the lake is boiling meaning over 212 degrees. The air around the lake is quite steamy as you can imagine and it reeks of sulphur! There have been reports of people just getting close enough to where the mist from the lake will cause severe burns

6. Morning Glory Pool, Wyoming
In case you thought it was only man made structures that are colorful, think again! The colors on this hot spring. The strange colors of this pool are caused by a large variety of bacteria that live here. After an earthquake, this pool has the potential to turn into a geyser. It’s believed that this was actually more colorful at some point but people began throwing trash into it and slightly altered its appearance.

5. The Amazon River
If parasites that swim up your urethra aren’t enough to scare you off, maybe the pirahnas will! The amazon is certainly one of the most if not the most mysterious body of water in the world and it’s a place you should never swim. There are parts of the amazon where you’ll find nothing but the pirana because, well they just sort of ate everything. And that’s not all! There’s a type of scavenger catfish, which can basically tunnel it’s way inside of what it’s eating with it’s razor sharp teeth and eat you from the inside out! Don’t forget about the freshwater stingrays, electric fish, and the possibility of contracting a flesh eating virus! There are just a slew of nasty animals who would enjoy nothing else but to inflict all kinds of harm on you! So don’t take that chance”!

4. The Zambezi River Gorge
This gorge located on the Zambezi River that you see in this photo, seperates Zimbabwe and Zambia. The left side is Zimbabwe and right side is Zambia. It’s the fourth longest river in Africa and can be quite wide in some areas. This serves as quite the boundary between the two nations and would certainly be difficult to cross. There are also tons of dangerous animals who would love to take a bite out of you! It’s quite common to see things like hippos and crocodiles who enjoy flipping over boats of unsuspecting victims. The rapids found here can be rather intense and if you keep going, you might fly over the edge of victoria falls which is the 2nd tallest waterfall in the world. If you manage to survive the fall over the edge, which you most likely won’t you’d then have to deal with world the vast whirlpools at the bottom.

3. Eagles Nest Diving Area
Sometimes exploring underwater caves, or spelunking, can be quite dangerous and inexperienced divers can be victims. Sometimes it can be easy going down than it is coming back up. This are we see here known as the Eagles Nest Diving area near Ft Lauderdale can reach depths of 300 feet and there are many passages to check out. Even the most experienced divers can’t predict what’s going to happen here. In October of 2016, 2 divers who’ve been here many times couldn’t make it back up. They were found 260 feet below the surface. These weren’t the only people who met their watery grave in at this place. It’s been home to at least 8 accidents since 1981 and from 1999 to 2003 it was completely closed off.

Bayou is pronounced "by-you"..

You are not familiar with the south, are you?

Also, this incident is very rare.. which makes me question why it's number 2..

I've gone tubing on the Potomac around Harpers Ferry and it's great. I've also seen the hell that the river becomes around Great Falls during a storm!

The Tualatin River is actually very safe. I live in Oregon and have been involved with environmental related volunteer work. While I definitely wouldn't drink the water, people boat, swim, and play in the river all the time. That's the main river me and my family kayak in over summer break. However the rest on this lists looks heccin scary. Thanks for another great video

Hi, this was interesting to say. The fact you put the Potomac rive in the don't swim list is funny because I would swim in it all the time and ever year when I lived in Maryland and Washington D.C. The issue I had was when I took a small row boat across the river and the fish would hit the bottom of the boat.

The Potomac River is not polluted what so ever but there are a lot of very dangerous rapids but most of the water is calm.
