There's another way and I always do it it's so short and easy pattern so here's it:


Get a hair tie it doesn't matter what color or what type but it shouldn't be having any charms or decorations so do a slip knot with your yarn and also it doesn't matter what type or color the yarn is and
Do single crochet around the hair tie until you cover it all and then do a slip stitch to join the 2 loops together (the beginning and the end loops) and here's the pattern:
2 dc (double crochet) in each stitch (slip stitch to join the 2 loops together)
3 dc (double crochet) in each stitch (slip stitch to join the 2 loops together) and then cut the yarn and you're done 💝

Why o why would you cut elastic band & then tie in knot? You should crochet AROUND elastic hair tie! This seems like too much work & does knot come out? CURIOUS!!!

This is just a long protocol you can do it easier with a rubber band

Or just like…crochet on top of a hair tie lol. Still looks cute but the way shown seems like too much work.
