to summarize 2024 is mostly a war of attrition with slow continuous advances in the donbas region. Russia then started a offensive in the kharkiv direction which is now a buffer zone were ukraine very slowly pushes russia out. The kursk offensive began with a few goals such as causing panic within russia and to capture key strategic locations with the goal of leverage for peace negotiations. Russia responded by striking ukraine energy facilities with 130+ missiles and then doing a breakthrough on the pokrovsk direction. Currently both the offensive on the pokrovsk front and the kursk front have slowed down
