After a day trip in the somewhat dry Lugano, it is now time to head back to the other - wet - side of the Alps in our Daher Kodiak.

We start by quickly setting up our IFR flight plan for what should be a 50-minute trip from LSZA to LSZR. With all preparations in the G1000 NXI complete, we utilize an incredible - and free - addon utility called Toolbar Pushback, to get ourselves into position for engine start.

It takes only a brief taxi with some backtracking to line up ready for departure on RWY 19. We are light this evening, no surprise the rocket climb out of Lugano, following the CANE1E SID, climbing to FL170 to clear the nearby peaks.

Halfway through the flight, we disappear into the clouds and for the most of what follows. we spend our time popping in and out of them until we start our descent via the ROLS3H arrival. As expected, a dark and gloomy northern side awaits as we descend towards Altenrhein in light to moderate turbulence and rain.

Finally, we capture the localizer and the glideslope and make it safely back onto Terra Firma, touching down firmly on RWY 10.
