I'm the daughter of a bassist and, as a result, I have a deep love for the instrument. My beloved Daddy died 10 months ago today but watching this video (AGAIN 😁) has made me smile because it feels like he's watching it with me. Great bass players rock (think Chuck Rainey & Kim Stone, for example). You, sweetheart, are PHENOMENAL!!! Keep doing what you're doing and keep gifting us with these fabulous covers!

My evening was made brighter because of you. Thank you & may God continue to bless you richly.

Sick skills but I'm even more in love with the fact that this teenage girl is rocking out to some classic R&B via Lutha!! Music is timeless, I guess. 💖

Man...lil Sis is getting down! Like so many people on here it warms my heart to see young people embrace “Soul” music. Keep up the good work!!

Holy crap. I must have heard this song hundreds of times over the years, but I never knew the bass line was so complex. You played it like you wrote it.

As someone that comes from a family of musicians I give you much respect. You play just like my dad and my brother ( who passed away last year). It almost brought tears to my eyes as I would play lead guitar. Good Job and never stop playing the funk (as my brother would say). God bless!

Girl!!! You thumped and plucked the mess out of that bass! I also loved your improv...you didn't "take over, " like you didn't mess with the integrity of the song, but you definitely showcased and made it your own. VERY WELL DONE!!!

The more I listen to her interpretation the more I conclude that it's not just a Cover but really there is personality in the way she plays. Great jobe once again !

3:24 ..Ohhh she KNOWS it.

I could honestly say, I've not heard anyone play the bass with more pizzaz and slap-back attitude in my 30 odd years of professional recording.

Young lady, you are phenomenal. Make yourself known and be a high ticket price session player darling - because you deserve it.

And the next time you're in the London area, and I need a session bass, you're going close to the top of my list. Awesome!!
