It feels like we wasted 50 years head start on moon colonisation to start all over again.

After I heard of how awesome the Artemis I launch was, I’ve been waiting for the next one to happen for so long, and now is delayed. But that will only make the actual launch better!

I would rather it be delayed for a year or two In order to maximise safety than risk a possible catastrophe which would set the program back many years.

At this stage, everything is behind schedule. Orion, starship all need proofof success

I *get* the frustration... very much so... yet I also would like to see our new generation of space heroes inspiring kids for decades... make it home alive to be celebrated.

The starship is nowhere near certified for a crewed flight, expect more delays.
Smarter Everyday made a very insightful video on this.

Space is hard. Especially when we expect a zero failure rate.

The delays are annoying, but safety first!🌙

People complaining except for the fact that these safety requirements are literally what was learned from the Apollo missions and others where in the past these issues woumd have been okay but now these issues should be looked into

Meanwhile China early 2025.
Japan early 2026
Europe late 2026
U.S. Hopefully by 2040?
And SpaceX sitting waiting patiently on Mars in 2029 for the rest of the world to catch up.
Just a wild guess as an American space enthusiast.

The sense of urgency and national pride that fueld the 60's Apollo mission is long gone... 🥱😴

They ain't recreating Apollo 13 again.

You kind of left out the fact that SpaceX would clearly not have a moon lander ready by september 2025 anyway. The delay of Artemis 3 was therefore needed anyway, which means that delaying Artemis 2 does not delay the overall program.

Queue all the people saying we never went with Apollo

"Safety issues" is a PR friendly way of saying "engineering problems".

It's crazy how I didn't really think of Artemis ll delaying and only thought for the third one 😂
