Love the fact that Paul and George look like they are from 1965 and John and Ringo from 1968

If you plug and electric guitar into a microphone input jack, this is the distortion effect you get. I learned this back in 1981 !!!

Absolutely MAGNIFICENT.

The Beatles invent heavy metal.

I SO wish this version had been released.

MAGNIFICENT.

Filmed at the end of the DAVID FROST SHOW on 4. September 1968, before they played 8 trax.

Insieme al concerto sul tetto della Apple, questo è uno dei momenti più alti della carriera dei Beatles. Saluti da Milano 🇮🇹🇮🇹🇮🇹

I feel so blessed to have had these guys in my Baby Boomer life. 👍👍👍👍

Amazing about these guys is that even if it wasn’t “their song” they put in an ass kicking effort.

And I thought it couldn't get any more intense! Great hearing the two versions together. George's guitar is more prominent and is playing a slightly different pattern on, I presume, the lesser known vid take. Great stuff!

Lennon told us not to go around carrying pictures of chairmen Mao, why isn't anyone listening?

This would not be possible without Ringo.

This is not the original audio of both Promotional Films filmed for Revolution.
This must be an early take.
The original Promos feature the Single's mono mix without the Vocals.
John, Paul and George sang the Vocals "live" for the Promotional Films.

whether the bass is Paul's or not, it's the first time i'm hearing it clearly on this song, and it adds a lot.

"Take 1" is obviously superior. "Take 2" looks like a warm-up take for everybody.

It is a different background track as well because the keyboard solo is different from the official version of the video so it's not just them lip syncing over their own backing track

So who are the Rolling Stones exactly?
Oh, that band who will forever be a second place (at best), right?

In the Anthology Video, the Revolution clip featured both Revolution #1 & #2 combined!
They did the same thing to "Rain".
On "Revolution" 2, John sings - "We all want to see the world".
I personally never liked the third verse on Revolution! That "Change your head" and "Chairman Mao" business.
They should have just used the two verses and repeated the first verse in place of the third verse like on the Esher Demo!

Take 1 is from the Smothers Brothers show, and is in fact a "live" version that differs from the 45 single... take 2 was the re-edit version for the 45 single... Take 1 has George commenting on John (who was doing a lot of drugs and hadn't bathe in a while) smells like Sh*t... take one has the 3 repeats of "don't you know it's gonna be" then "alright" but the 2 latter "don't you know it's gonna be" are muted from the song, but can see Paul's lips saying it... Take 1 has John say "If you talk about destruction... don't you know that you can count me out" then he say "in" which is breathed right into the mic afterwards but it is muted... Most of the "Doobie doo Wops owwum Dobbie doo wop" have been muted from take 1... but you can see Paul's lips sing that too. Take one is a far superior song over all if you can find the unedited version.
