It's perfect, you can see it again and again, and you appreciate how well built and how everything fits into the scene. Branagh is a master.

Just to compare the 1974 version, this is fast-paced, less talk, better cinematography of course and different ending, and younger cast lol. I watched both in one day. Both. Both is good.

Notice the gaze from the passengers whenever Ratchett (Johnny Depp) passes by. You can see the Doctor give a hard look at Ratchett then looks toward the other guy subtly showing they knew each other. Then the Princess takes a second scowling look at Ratchett as he passes by, at first you'd think it's because of his comments to the dogs. Nice little details for a second viewing.

I loved this movie. As a matter of fact, everyone I know loved it.
It was so lush and stylish. The characters were terrific and it just bursted alive on the big screen with the great sound and cinematography. Well done.

Imaginative filming where the camera sweeps along the side of the train capturing Michelle Pfeiffer making her way through the carriages talking to Hercule Poirot.

Love this story, and Kenneth Branagh both act and direct it so beautiful. Both the setting, the costumes and especially the music makes me feel i'm watching Downton Abbey.

Spoiler alert

7:45, Hubbard (Pfeiffer) and Ratchett (Depp). If you watched this movie the 2nd time after knowing everything, its mindblowing observing the short interaction, shes basically conversing and "pretend flirting" with the man that killed her family.

"I am equally disappointed in you." One of my favourite lines, just in general

I believe I watched 3 versions of this story and all were good honestly, Only because it is a good story and one of Agatha Christie's best.

Kenneth Branagh does a good job of balancing the traits that made Agatha Christie hate her own creation, his arrogance and fussiness, with the traits that made fans love him, not just his intelligence but his disarming nature, his sympathy for other people, and his cheeky sense of humor. Still, even after all these years, there's no substitute for just reading the original novel by Agatha herself.

Of course David Suchet is amazing and can be marked as "the best poirot" But I really like the modern feel of this movie as well as Kenneth Branagh's portrayal. The music in this also SLAPS

"I want you to get it done. I want you to get it done now. Did I say get it done now?"

For some reason that is my favourite line in the movie!

This movie reminds me of old movies when I was young, might've been a early 2000s kid but watched a lot of old movies and such but this movie brings back good memories

A lot are complaining about this movie, but Kenneth literally said that he wanted this movie to have a more mysterious and theatrical take. That’s why the big mustache, that’s why the big SNCF 241 A (reverse smoke deflectors and cowcather for a more epic look) instead of a smaller 231 or 230, that’s why he made the avalanche on top of a mountain with some open space for the characters/actors to move around more instead of the inside of the coaches and that’s why he used a lot of CGI. But don’t forget they made an entire loco plus tender, a luggage wagon, three coaches and amazing sets just saw this movie. Of course some parts could’ve been better, acting wise and story wise, but every movie has that. Also Kenneth is a theater player and writer so another reason for the theatrical look. If you look at this movie in a more mysterious way, you might enjoy this movie much more!
