"My dear, Colonel Armstrong. Finally, I can answer your letter at least with the thoughts in my head and the feeling in my heart that somewhere, you can hear me. I have now discovered the truth of the case, and it is profoundly disturbing. I have seen the fracture of the human soul. So many broken lives, so much pain and anger, giving way to the poison of deep grief, until one crime became many. I have always wanted to believe that man is rational and civilized. My very existence depends upon this hope, upon order and method and the little gray cells. But now, perhaps, I am asked to listen, instead to my heart."

"Ladies and gentlemen, I have understood in this case that the scales of justice cannot always be evenly weighed. And I must learn, for once to live with the imbalance. There are no killers here. Only people who deserve a chance to heal. The police have accepted my first solution to the crime, the lone assassin who made his escape. I will leave the train here to conclude formalities. You are all free to go. May you find your peace with this. May we all."

I love how Poirot even words his explanation and farewell to the other passengers so that he never says anything that reveals the truth that the passengers committed the murder, and anyone else who heard those words couldn't say the speech was evidence of the passengers being killers. Even without the need to be so discreet, he does it anyway out of respect for truthfulness, and it emphasises his decision to take the truth of the matter to his grave.

The reverse walk of shame, the stride of justice.

I’m glad he’s coming back in the new movie death of the Nile and I hope he’ll do a third one

This one was so much better than murder on the Nile, and the composition of the soundtrack is way better, I still listen to the theme song for Orient Express, that piano is just captivating, it's sad and yet mysterious

It's a shame that Peter Ustinov never made his version of the Orient Express.

Love David Suchet as Poirot, but Kenneth Brannaugh did an amazing job in this film. I love his portrayal as much as David’s. Hercule Poirot est toujours immortale.

فيلم جميل أوحت به قريحة (أجاثا كريستي)، و صنعته همة عظيمة في نفس (كينيث برانا)، و طعمته مجداً مشاركة كل من النجمين: (ميشيل فايفر) و (جوني ديب). 👍🏻

I know that nowadays we have Benedict Cumberbatch in this English modern dynamic version. But I still remember this version by Agatha Christie. I always had a lot of admiration for this woman writer although I never read any of her books. But I believe that the tv show version is very faithful to the book. I tell myself that to put yourself in the role of all these characters, in all their depth and darkness, you really have to have a fine and penetrating mind. And especially the compassion for mankind. And that's what we see in the character of David Suchet. I have seen all the episodes. And when you compare the first and the last, there is an inevitable difference. This fatigue, this despair to see that the human race does not change. Sometimes I remember a story but I don't remember the episode. So I search but I can't find. Therefore I decided to start all over again. That's what I do all the time. But I haven't started yet. Detective stories are what I like the most. And David Suchet and Cumberbatch the best versions in my opinion.
