Hey Dave a huge thanks mate! Your loyal army, whom I want to thank now collectively, has inundated the channel tonight which was really great to see. I'm so thankful that A) the material we shot together, along with others, is finally getting a chance to be seen and B) that the support of others might really help to bring about more possibilities of showcasing some amazing stories, achievements and future possibilities. I am very excited about the prospect and this stimulus certainly hopes to get things moving in the right direction. From the bottom of my heart - thank you!

Hi Dave, Im From Traversecity Michigan USA. As a kid, I used to go with my dad to the local electronics hardware stores when he needed a new vacuum tube or other parts for his projects. He built some awesome linear Amplifiers that would light up a neon tube two foot away from the unit. The FAA actually showed up at the door one day asking for him. He tore it apart and never used it again. He could reach Hawaii on our CB radio with some of his units. I loved going through is boxes of teardowns. I myself enjoy teardown and make projects. nothing to get me noticed by the feds. I think I learned by his actions. Electronics has always held a fascination for me but mathematics were not my strong point. I have always been handicapped in that area because I cant retain numbers in my head. I do have fond memories of my dad standing at the soldering bench putting something new together. I love your show and watch it regularly. I am 55 and have seen many vast changes in the field since I was a kid. Thanks for bringing that kid in me back to the soldering bench. It was your shows that got me back into t eardowns. Now that I am disabled and retired I search dumpsters and stuff for teardown stuff. someday I may send you something ( calculator or something like that)

Thanks for the heads-up Dave. It looked so professional that I thought it would be released on DVD or BluRay... surprised it's gone straight to YouTube!

Cheers! as a kid I had one of those 101 electronics kits as well! I used to visit Tandy and DSE and bought kits and parts with my pocket money. Ended up doing EE at TAFE in the 80's & 90's

Very cool stuff, glad he is finally releasing it even if it isn't in the form he originally wanted. Captures the important history of Australian electronics that would otherwise be lost. Thank you.

I agree, it's a great and very interesting documentary. Have seen all the parts and I'm looking forward to see the next episode.

I wonder if they mention the repair industry here in America, it died some time ago, along with many of our factories that made American made electronics.
