That is the most compelling overview to highlight the value and practical real world applications of IFC, OpenBIM and OpenSource that any Client or AEC Consultant will find. I use Blender for my 3D representation and Revit and ArchiCAD for my BIM modelings. I have had BlenderBIM installed on my blender a year ago but couldn't get comfortable with it because of UI and lack of competitive tutorials when compared to other softwares but I LOVE BLENDER AND BIM! so I'm more than happy to switch to it if I don't get lost for hours trying to figure out some basic things. I know there are very good tutorials out there for Blender bim and we're mostly stuck in our daily hours trying to deliver what we have right now and don't find time to learn new things.... Can I see the wall layers on plan while I'm drawing the walls to check their connections in blenderbim?
It would be a dream come true to have my main IFC model and rendering model inside one Blender file!
What's your suggestion? because the companies we work for should accept these workflows first I think.

Nice presentation. I am in infrastructure field and I am wondering if it there is any reasonable process of editing and cutting IFC models (geometry, adding attributes etc.) of a road construction? Would it be possible to change the geometry of a road by aligning to an as-built point cloud?
