People need to do more research. We have explored and mapped a LOT more than 5% of the ocean.

Remember, we haven't explored something like 95% of our ocean, for all I know there's a real Subnautica Leviathon, Kracken and Lochness Monster all singing and dancing at the bottom of the Mariana Trench.

It went for him cause the splashing, and he looks like food. Also probably an accident since when they go for stuff(like the fish IN FRONT OF THE BOX) their eyes roll back to protect them during an attack. it didn't even see him probably.

I can say this right now… I have a severely bad fear of heights and open water…. I get really dizzy and lose my balance and fall over if I’m too high and start to panic and will drown in open water that’s too deep even a pool…… I would rather take my chances walking across the tallest bridge in the world while looking down the whole time then even take a SECOND to jump in the ocean…. 😭😭😭😭😭

My cousin goes into the atlantic ocean alone from the Azores islands with a harpoon, he has met giant juggernaut and touched it, met a hammer head and came closer to it for a photo.
he brought me with him once and I started narrating the event like a national geographic narrator, have never ever submitted to/scared of nature as I have then.
then he introduced me to the "champion" of " free diving ", a guy who's heartbeat was slower than a funeral march. the guy probably experienced everything the ocean has to offer 100 m down
