Limited stock of new cars in Australia at the end of 2022 benefits all car brands including China-owned ones such as MG, LDV, Haval and so on...

As my situation has changed recently, I had no further need for my massive LDV D90 7-seater SUV, deciding to "refund my money", so to speak, and look at buying something brand new yet again!

🚩🚩 FULL DISCLOSURE - WHY AMAZON LINKS (and not direct links to SOME brand sites?) 🚩🚩

Put simply, because those brands have good products -- which is why I'm still promoting those here -- *BUT* they don't have a web sales portal of their own, or fail to pay me commission, or I'm simply not certain that their promised discount code applies properly and you are getting the discount I've promised you in the video... So it is my duty to at least redirect you to a trustworthy sales site, such as Amazon. I apologise if this causes any inconvenience, and I hope that it does not! 😉👌

I don't know anything about Haval's mechanics or electrics. It's an SUV that I think has great presence and rich features. Looking forward to your new Haval content.

When I called in to see the salesperson who sold me my ZST three weeks after I picked it up, to collect additional free gifts, he offered me $3000 more than I paid for it. Naturally I declined as it would have meant a wait of six to eight months to get a similar one. I could not afford to be without a vehicle for that long.

Make sure: You like it when the radio lowers volume when the indicators are on. Also many people complain about the cruise control slamming on the brakes for no reason on a corner. Also people have reported the Bluetooth mic for your phone is hopeless. They also report service centres not fixing warranty issues without a fight. I was very seriously looking at the H6.

I’ve had the H6 for a year now, great car and no issues this far after 20, 000km. You won’t be disappointed.

Way to go, I’m sure you’ll enjoy the H6, it’s an awesome wagon. I had a good look at the H6 but as a couple of pensioners it was a bit on the big side for our needs, so we settled on the Jolion. We have had our Jolion Hybrid for a month now and it is an amazing drive, super smooth and comfortable, yes the electronics take a little getting used to but then you would experience the same kind of thing if you went from an old Android phone to the latest iPhone.
The Jolion doesn’t have as many features as the H6 but I’m more than happy with our purchase, sunroof, hud, big display etc the only other feature I would really have liked would be the electric tailgate as I do find the manual one a bit on the heavy side.

Hi,

We have in the the UK the same crazy car market & I got a resale value for my HS, 8 Months old (7000miles) which offered me £1000 trade in more than I paid for it - crazy !!.

The problem is it was against the new MG 4 EV Trophy which is not a SUV which like you I want & at the moment we don't get the Haval option here & im not quite into EV as yet but tempted by the trade in nevertheless .

Itchy feet here, don't know where to go next but probably order the expected revised HS Trophy .

Good luck with the Haval when it arrives .

Cheers, Lachie .

We sold our 2 year old Ford Transit with 30, 000 on the clock for the price we paid. Replacement is a Honda Goldwing DCT. Won't carry as much stuff but much more fun to ride...
Good luck with the Haval, fine looking unit. Pity you couldn't hold out for the MG4 but that is not a 4WD.
Have owned a Jeep Commander, suggest that the Chinese vehicles are better at any price.

In my situation LDV was never a consideration because it's just TOO big. Haval was actually also too big, but a VERY close competitor to what I bought - The MG ZST Excite. I love your outlook and attitude Dimitri, and yes, why NOT have a BRAND new car (almost not out of pocket), if it's going to suit YOUR situation better? I would say, go for it, and I can't wait to see what happens in the next 3-5 weeks!

We probably would have got a H6 over our HS Essence if they were out in 2020, the tech seems more refreshed and up to date, although for some reason havals do not have satellite navigation, which my mother uses frequently in her HS so I am not sure how she would have felt without navigation 🤔

The H6 has an amazing interior. Which H6 are you getting? What is the price? Don't listen to the haters.

I am driving my 10 yo Havel H6 in China, and yes, Havel H6 has been the top seller SUV here for years. In my case, except the battery died like 3 years ago, it had no problem what so ever. I hate it for being way too reliable so I couldn't find a valid reason to get a new car. This makes me feel like a boring person. So think carefully before getting one.

H6 looks like a nice car, I considered it earlier this year. Got a CRV in the end, maybe $2-3 k more, but fuel economy is better so it evens out. It was also available straight away. I’m interested to see what you make of it

i am an aussie living in Bangkok.i have a 21 subaru forester, they only have 2L here, not 2.5. So its not terribly exciting to drive, but its not terribly exciting sitting in Bangkok traffic. Haval H6, i've got 2 mates here who have just switched over to H6. one flipped his 3 year old Isuzu MUX and he was stunned by the cabin standard features and how quiet it is on the road. The other guy is a retired doctor who flipped his 4 year old Merc AMG A45 for a H6. He bought the A45 2 years ago and sold it recently for the same price, bought the H6 and had 1 million baht ($24K) left over from the deal so he is very happy and he says apart from the ride and handling being better in the merc, hes quite happy with the H6. He also has a Volvo V60 HEV and says the Volvo has the better Hybrid range, but you can buy a lot of petrol for the price difference between the H6 and the V60.
MG in thailand has recently released the MG VS HEV. There is a youtube channel THAIAUTONEWS that has 2 reviews in english for the MG. The price in thailand for the top spec MG is about $9.5K cheaper than the H6, but the MG doesnt have many electronic driving safety features

I have a Haval H6. It's a decent car, but I don't like its power delivery profile, suspension system and dampening, and the delayed front collision warning.

If you like the Jeep, are you excited to see the Tank 300 from GMW make it's way to Australia next year?

Great choice I think as H6 nice car although make sure you test DCT suits you - I’d consider the MG HS AWD with similar 2 litre engine but as you have had one the Haval is good choice and ultimately the brand is great value 👍
