Long time PlayStation buyer. Not a loyalist, I’ve owned nearly every console, just a preference.

For the reasons you’ve listed and more (Sony’s closure of multiple stores while taking tens of thousands from developers for dev kits that they can’t use, the focus on triple AAA titles while totally disregarding a rich catalog of old games because “they can’t see the appeal”) I have purchased a series X and am going to support that console, moving forward. I won’t ever say never in regards to purchasing from Sony again but, if a company refuses to listen to customers, you need to let your money do the talking and hey, the series X is great.

The economy of owning an XBox is way superior to PS5. The cost of accessories, games, and services add up with the PS5 and I don't get that sense with XBox. With my XBox Series X, I have game overload with so many games (via game pass) that I don't have time to play all the games available. The best thing is being able to try games I wondered about but didn't have the $$ to explore.

As a PC gamer myself I can say that quick resume is damn impressive. I'll be getting a Series X as soon as I find one available but I'll wait for a PS5 slim this time around.

Game pass, backwards compatibility, quick resume, expandable storage, silent fans and the sleeper no one talks about FPS boost. Being able to play games at 60 FPS without waiting for the developers to patch the game is a game changer. Case in point UFC 4. It’s a flawless 60fps on the series X/S where on PS5 your stuck at 30fps because EA hasn’t updated the game for next gen consoles

Hey Man, great post. The storage options and Game pass was the clincher for me. I think Xbox have knocked it out the park with the series X. I've been a big fan of both Playstation and Xbox since the beginning but the Series X has a lot more going for it this time. Thanks for sharing, take care.

Not gonna lie, it does look like Sony dropped the ball and Phil Spencer quickly picked it up and ran the other way with it.

GamePass is looking really good, i mean it's actually unavoidable now, it offers so much value for the money they charge you, and Sony really has no way to compete with it.

Overall for the cost of 2 games per year, you get access to hundreds of games on multiple devices that you can play anytime you want.

GamePass essentially turned video games into Netflix and Sony are still pretending to be Blockbuster, charging $70 for games... We all saw how that turned out.

I watch a ton of YouTube and you definitely have what it takes to become a huge name on YouTube, got the personality, voice, body language, video quality and you're great in front of the camera... KEEP IT UP AND YOU WILL SUCCEED... People don’t understand quick resume, my pc friend kept telling me how fast his pc was with his 3090 and 970 evo over and over and didn’t understand until I showed him first hand jumping from one game to another and he was shocked 😂

My ps5 sent an update to my controller. Now it doesn't charge through the docking station anymore. I have a second controller that was not updated and still charges. I have not played my ps5 since I beat miles morales. I've been on my series x non stop. They just keep showing that they are thinking about us the gamers. Quick resume, smart delivery, game pass, storage options and most of all GAMES. People who say xbox has no games are living I'm the past.

Some constructive criticism: less cuts. This was very authentic, I’m sure you had notes and bullet points but it’s so jumpy, hard to not notice. Take your time! If something doesn’t come out right while recording, give it another go! There were so many good parts in the video and then other parts seemed a mess due to the chopped up sentences. Honestly quick resume and fast loading is worth it and games run so great, me and my friend play Sea of Thieves all the time and I always load in about 10 seconds while they’re about 1-2 minutes. They came over and saw it and their jaws just dropped

Both consoles are great, gonna get both but starting with XSX with Game Pass, smart delivery, quick resume, and better performing 3rd party titles.

they always talk about our exclusives and how we have no games but the fact that i can play 3 generations of games on my xbox is insane. i’ve been playing gta 4 like crazy the last couple days

I will end the comment telling you that Xbox has double the developer studios and soon Xbox will have more exclusives. All Bethesda games, Fable, Perfect Dark, Hellblade II, Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5, Avowed, Flight Simulator, EverWild, Stalker 2, Crossfire X and many more. New Bethesda exclusive franchises including Starfield, Indiana Jones and more. I own Xbox Series X. Power throne, and now subjectively better exclusives. The most pro consumer.
