Evocation is one of my favorite reads of this year!! I adore David, Moira and Rhy so much. I'm so excited for the prequel Odd Spirits coming out in October!

this is how you lose the time war instantly became my favorite book of all time when i read it!!!! that book is an absolute masterpiece and i'm so happy you loved it!! i have a tattoo of the birds from the cover hehe. that book is pure magic, i think a reread is due soon for me 🥲💖

Currently reading 'My Brilliant Friend' and I'm enjoying it so much! Like you've mentioned, the description of female friendship is so real and rough!

My favourite books of the month were The Goblin Emperor, Half a Soul and A Dowry of Blood, all five star reads. Like you, I will now read everything by S T Gibson. My Brilliant Friend is one of my favourite books, I’ve just got the last one to go now.

i read the whole quartet recently and the 2nd one is defo the best. overall personally i think best to worst is 2, 3, 4, 1

I loved The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James so I would recommend it for a good autumnal read.

I’ve read Notes On An Execution and First Lie Wins and enjoyed both! Can’t tell you much about either, not sure if that’s because of the books or because my memory sucks 😂 Very intrigued by This Is How You Lose the Time War, A Love Song for Ricki Wilde, and My Brilliant Friend! My favorite books I read in August were Pride and Prejudice and Remarkably Bright Creatures (both re-reads) and Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson!
