Hey Dillon, are you sure that Canadian Study was $/GAL? I looked for some clarification in the linked study but didn't find it. Should be $/Litre since that's how fuel is charged in Canada. This would make a big difference. Gas in BC is currently around $1.80/Litre if that helps put it into perspective.

43 cents per Liter not gallon. So $0.43 x 3.79 = $ 1.63 per gallon. Today's US average is $3.483 per gallon. Cost equivalent is less than half the price of dinosaur juice.

There are about _3.7856_ liters per US gallon. Multiply the numbers on the chart by 3.79 to get a *US* figure.

The argument that Elon shouldn't be paid because nobody else has had a performance only package in the past is completely irrelevant. If that was the case nobody would be paid anything as nobody at one point had ever had it that way before. Someone is always first. This is the most shareholder friendly package in history as it's 100% performance based and 100% aligned with shareholders and no cash comp of any kind is part of it. Hopefully the judge overlooks this absurd assertion that it's invalid because it's the first performance only 100% shareholder aligned package and in fact that should be the norm for CEO's.

Very impressive talk by Tesla about the design team and philosophy. I'd like to know how that meshes with the decision to make Cybertruck from Stainless Steel? No Engineer would choose something that can't be readily shaped and finished. Clearly this was forced on them, and it was a grave error of judgement with ongoing cost and aesthetic consequences.

I forget the exact timeline with the Model 3, but does seem like starting to see Model Y refresh mules out there now would roughly fall in line with getting it rolling off lines Q1 2025.

Does the total cost of ownership include insurance? I doubt it. My gas savings on my Tesla are easily offset by insurance costs

On UBER doing a deal with EV's It is a good move. If you remember back to the introduction of hybrids. The taxi industry in Australia switched in what seemed overnight due to the fuel savings. EV Fuel savings leave hybrids for dead especially for an industry where kilometers = money. I am surprised the taxi industry has not switched already as EV's leave hybrids far behind. It would be interesting to find out the main reasons why?

It is $0.43/Litre not Gallon. The current price of gas here in Kingston Ontario Canada is $1.60/Litre. So not quite the amount of savings you thought, but still considerable. We certainly will never go back to an ICE after having our Model 3.
