Whether Ukraine can or cannot defend against a Russian invasion doesn't matter to me because it's not my war. If Russia feels threatened by NATO an alliance created to band together against threats to their countries like what is being perceived as being Russia. I mean can you really blame Russia for wanting a more secure front even if that means taking a country that might join NATO?

The real question is, is the USA going to allow Russian forces arrival and support stationed in Cuba, Venezuela and Nicaragua? How is the US Industrial Complex going to react once Mexico and other countries in South America, their back yard get their arm purchases from Russia and China.

We were out numbered in Nam in several fights but we had great leadership, a good variety of weaponry, good comms, and good terrain to fight from. Several factors come into play, but all things being advantageous, they could defend their territory.
