'SUFFERING' - Full Animatic [ EPIC the Musical ]

Suffering is truly a fun Epic the Musical song that gave me a lot of visuals in my head, and I knew it had to be the first animatic I'd do for the Thunder Saga. I tried to balance storytelling with moments of levity, comedy, and a hint of seriousness... but you can tell I'm being unserious for the most part LOL! I also ramped up the lip sync aspect since I wanted to practice and felt it was an important element to the story.

I love how all these different animatics have odysseus playing playful and coy with penelope while acting silly during the posiedon part.

I JUST WANT TO SAY:

I LOVE that when the siren says "through the layer of Scylla", and Ody's face replaces Scylla's as the monster. REALLY great foreshadowing

Her transformation at the beginning is giving magical girl vibes I love it so much 😭

I love his expression when he says "More than you know..." It's almost as if while he KNOWS it's not Penelope, being able to say how much he misses her to even a fake is cathartic

Ya know I really do love how the jiggle physics could easily be seen as fan-service but it actually makes sense. The sirens trying to goad them into leaving the safety of the ship in every way possible. The boob jiggle is just more bait! :O

I love the little things in this animatic,
- the "daughter" getting caught and turning back into a siren
- Ody showing the bees wax in his ear when he says "As good as that sounds"
- His different movements and depiction of this when asking "Penelope" how to get home
- "Penelope" just looking bored at Ody cause she simply wants to eat him
- "Penelope's transformation when telling Ody about Scylla's cave

Damn I love that in this one Odysseus actually did bait the siren into leaving the water and coming onto the ship. Bro really gave her a taste of her own medicine

The lips moving when she tells the way is *chef kiss* very very good details since odysseus is in fact reading her lips for he cannot hear her clearly (that gorilla godzilla is still in my head help-)
