How I love John Lydon! He has finally got the recognition for his honesty and peeling back the bull#### layers of showbiz

I was 15 and so excited to see Johnny on this show. He was an underground superstar.

I'm sure people all thought Johnny was a lunatic at the time, but if you look back at all the things he's said in his career it's amazing how many times he turned out to be right...

I came across whilst looking for something else. When I realised Johnny Rotten was on it I had to watch it. He was ace as usual . Just brilliant .

Looking back, what an odd programme it was. They certainly underrated Bad Girls, one of the classic records of that era. Great having Mr Lydon on the panel. Hilarious and intelligent.

What a classic, what a panel of guests, what a non interactive crowd, and smoking & drinking beer by Mr Rotten

This is priceless: Johnny Rotten and Joan Collins slumming together in the slag heap of UK television! What a find!

Thanks for reminding me that the majority of stuff that makes the top 30 had always been awful. Johnny always knew it. Hard to remember because we always play the greatest songs from every era and forget the rest.

Alan Freeman later said Johnny's walkout (at the end) had been missed by the cameras, so was asked to repeat it by the director, and happily did so!

Loved it at the time, love it now. Thanks for sharing this. Honesty tends to sink this sort of show and this sort of line up.

John was very honest and a stand up lad 😁 different topic: I cannot believe that Joan Collins was actually 45/46 years old in this video (born in 1933). Geez, she was gorgeous!

Saw Johnny perform with PIL a few days ago. Powerful gig it was.

I’m a fan of John’s honesty. Politically incorrect before it was fashionable. Recall in the early days of American Idol everyone thought Simon was mean, but he was just brutally honest…that’s John.

It's amazing; the rabbit holes you can fall down, on YouTube. I started the evening watching a video about the origins of Dr. Who and it led me here. This was a great watch. I wish we could have seen Johnny's reaction when the young girl says of The Monks: ."They're like the Pistols, aren't they."

He was a massive star. Even there he is clearly the superstar of the panel and a huge hit with the audience.

John looked rather surprised, although pleased, when the audience sided with him on the first song. From then on, he seemed to know that was playing to an appreciative audience.

Donna Summer's Bad Girl was made specifically for roller disco. It's a skating song!
