EDIT: I was told by a player they were banned for playing with the console interface on Hypixel and instantly had their appeal denied, be careful if you decide to play on Hypixel.

One of the best things about this modpack is how much better it makes playing Java edition on Steam Deck, or with any controller for that matter. The menus are so much easier to use and don't require ANY mouse inputs

The Re-Console modpack that includes Legacy4J actually fixes a lot of performance issues with the game, and preinstalls old school texture packs and tutorial worlds for extra nostalgia 💚

To be honest, despite never playing legacy console edition, it is better than Bedrock in my opinion, and I'm glad to be able to experience it with this mod

I have a copy of the legacy PS4 game, and seeing this mod just brings back so many memories. When I eventually get a copy of Java Edition, I'm definitely going to be installing this asap.

Legacy Console Edition was by far the peak of Minecraft for me, I remember going to a friends house and just hanging out playing split-screen with our survival world that we did everything in. It was really sad to hear they stopped supporting LCE. Very happy that this mod can bring back some of that nostalgia, even with its drawbacks it definitely was a very cathartic experience.

I Personally never had an Xbox, but i really miss the PS3 Edition of minecraft it had special gamemodes that were unique and really fun to play and its own music, i miss it tremendously and hope to buy a new ps3 sometime.

another thing about tutorial worlds is that they had hidden music discs around the map. music discs aren't really anything special, but waiting for a new tutorial world to drop so you could explore it to find all the hidden music discs was really fun too, and gave players who already knew how to play the game a reason to go to the tutorial worlds. they were also just really well made. i wish 4j studios version of minecraft was the one made for crossplay, or at the very least i wish 4j studios had some involvement with minecraft after the legacy edition support ended, because it's clear they were the only developer team actually passionate about the game.

I've been waiting for a mod like this for years! As someone who has only owned java and bedrock edition, but played the console edition at my friends houses, this is one of the most nostalgic versions to me. I can't wait to finally try it out again after so long.

Imagine how cool it would be to play with these mods and go on a server that replicated the minigames that were added to the legacy console editions like Spleef, PVP and the Elytra mode. Even with the same maps and everything.
