I think they liked the idea that phin killed rhino midway through so they decided to just not show him in the game and went along with the phin killing him

Shocker is the only one who didn't deserve death, he was a broke guy who had no other choice, but they'll let scum like rhino live in the continuity (Rhino didn't die in miles morales and kraven didn't kill him, hence why the heads were removed)

There are a bunch of weak spots on the map like yesterday I found one in a building near Brooklyn visions and there was some kind of green tube and when I touched it the sky (only above the map) turned purple and I couldn’t swing or glide or do anything.

Fun fact. The reason Kraven killed Shocker, scorpion, Electro, vulture (maybe Rhino the whole Phin thing makes that unclear) before he tried to kill Li or tombstone is because they were more willing to kill. Kraven wants an opponent who is willing to kill. So because Li and Tombstone reformed they weren't willing to kill right away giving the Spider-Men time to save them. So it turns out them choosing to be better actually save their lives. While the others did not.

PS: Can someone explain why Tombstone all the sudden decided to reform. It feels force and comes out of no where. If any of the villains were going to reform it would have made more sense for it to be Shocker. The fact Tombstone is out of jail in just two years is BS to me. He killed a dude in first degree murder. He stole chemicals from a corporation to sell an illegal drug. He help build vehicles for a Terrorist group the Demons. Tombstone also said he likes the thrill of a fight yet in SM2 now he doesn't like fight at all. It like he had a whole character arc off screen. It makes no sense.

Shocker on the another hand is a thief not a murderer. He also was on parole and only went back to crime out of fear for his life unlike Tombstone who was paid off. I can't help but feel like this a "diverse decision" because one character is one race and the other is another race.
