She was like a crazy funny murder nanny in the first. When she wakes up she becomes an angry god and for the first time you can physically feel how mad she is at Chell.

this game is a decade old and I can still feel the primal terror of seeing that Mechanical Eldritch horror put herself back together and then very much recognize almost like in her she achieved last time she barely cared who we were.... now she knows everything about us....

I think its ironic how Glados kills wheatly and then calls Chell a monster.

This scene will forever be the reason why I consider GLaDoS to be one of the scariest villains of all time. She genuinely wants your character to suffer, but they state it the same way that they would state that the sky is blue. They view your suffering as an immutable fact, and this is what makes them terrifying.

I love the attention to detail Valve puts into their games. For example, my eye gets a crack in it only after GLaDOS has thrown me aside.
